Aramaic spoken today!

Who knew that Aramaic was still spoken today?

Well, in the This is not a Ketubah, yes it is office, we spend our free time chatting in ancient languages. Not to mention, since our Ketubot are partially in ancient aramaic, we need to be on the tip of our toes (tongues?), and always perfecting our ancient aramaic. But we thought that no one else spoke it outside of our arts studio!

But we were wrong! I just read on Wikipedia, 400,00 people speak Aramaic today. Who knew?

That's certainly a lot of ketubah writers (sofers) ;)
