Vietnamese Ketubah

Hot off the press: we just started working with a new couple who wants a Ketubah in…. wait for it…. Vietnamese!

We’re really excited about doing a Vietnamese Ketubah! Yay!!!

Luckily, we know an awesome Vietnamese translator (by luck!). It’s a rush Ketubah, so we’re doing it quickly.

It’s for a wonderful couple that we’ve spent the last few days talking to. A great Jewish-American and Vietnamese match, with an interfaith Ketubah honoring both of their traditions.

If anyone else is interested in a Vietnamese Ketubah, then… just ask away! We’re at your disposal, and now we’ll have the text on file for you!

More and More Ketubahs in South Africa – Cape Town and Johannesburg!

We’re super excited that so many couples in South Africa love our Ketubot!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve had a whole bunch of orders for ketubahs from couples in South Africa, in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.

We’ve just started creating, printing and shipping these Keubahs for South Africans — so it’s becoming very real!

I happen to know a lot of South African Jews: my best friend growing up was a South African Jew, and I spent most of my childhood in his house. I know their accent inside out, I’ve heard them for decades talk in their particular vernacular: “Joburg” for “Johannesburg”, “UCT” for “the University of Cape Town”, and so forth. We heart South African Jews!

In fact, on my honeymoon, I was in South Africa and went to a bunch of wonderful shuls and Shabbat services, and one wonderful rabbi even invited us to a shabbos dinner. It was a perfect honeymoon.

If anyone else in South Africa is interested in a Ketubah — just ask! :) We’d be honored!

Curious About Modern, Interfaith Ketubahs?

Many other Ketubah artists won’t create interfaith ketubahs. (For example, our more religious friends at Orthodox Ketubot only creates strictly kosher, religious ketubot.) There are many reasons why these other artists behave like this: many ketubah artists disapprove of intermarriage, for example.

But not here at This is not a Ketubah! We’re welcome and open to all! Whether you are a Jewish-Jewish, or Catholic-Jewish, or Episcopalian-Jewish, or Hindi-Jewish, or Muslim-Jewish… we would love to welcome you into our community with open arms, and an open heart.

Our approach towards interfaith marriages is to welcome everyone into our community. We would rather have one Jew plus his entire family in our community, than throw everyone away. Soon we’d be all alone :)

Plus, we love all the mixtures, in all the forms. Remember evolution: diversity of mixtures helps the genes improve!

If you want more information about an interfaith Ketubah — then just ask. It would be our honor and pleasure to create one for any interfaith couple!

The Ketubah is a special and sacred document. It is about the love and commitment between you two, regardless of who you are. We would love to include you, all of you, in the tradition.

Oh also: check out our partner Interfaith Ketubahs to see some great ones!

Want to Elope… with a Ketubah? We’ll Make It ASAP For You!

We’ve been wanting to create a Ketubah for a couple that’s going to elope. Vegas, Elvis, the mini-synagogue (what is the equivalent of a “chapel” for Jews?).

I personally didn’t elope, but it would be very exciting to help a couple that’s eloping.

Want to run away this weekend? We can make your Ketubah and get it to you in one day.

What are you waiting for? Life is short. Eloping is fun.

Plus you save a lot of money – hehehe :) A great, sexy way to avoid paying a ton for a wedding!!!! Maybe I should have eloped hehe :)

Here’s the funniest part: the word and the concept just doesn’t exist in the Spanish language. Working with our Ketubah artists from Argentina, we’ve had to explain the concept of “eloping” to them. And now… I think all of them will elope when they get married!

Latest Excitement: Ketubahs in Australia (Sydney and Melbourne!)

Over the last few months, we’ve gotten a bunch of calls and emails from couples in Sydney and Melbourne. And now we’ve just started creating and printing ketubot (“ketubahs” as they like to say, but I prefer the grammatically correct form, haha!) for them.

We’re very excited, and all of this talk — and their accents! — make all of us here want to go wrestle some crocodiles down under!

So far, we’ve been printing all of our ketubot for Australia in the USA and shipping it; but if there are enough couples, we can start printing them locally. But one step at a time!

SO if any of you are in Australia — Melbourne, Sydney, or anywhere else! — and are interested in a Ketubah, then just ask! :)

My experience with this most amazing group of experienced talented sensitive professional group of people preparing my ketubah was truly amazing. They treated me like family, like I was their brother. Ketubah in 24 Hours? We’ll do it!

Since we’ve started, we’ve had a lot of requests for last-minute Ketubot (“ketubahs,” as most say!): within a week, within a few days, close to the deadline of the wedding.

But we just had on Friday a record: a couple contacted us hysterical on Friday morning: their wedding was the next day, and they completely forgot about the Ketubah!

And guess what? We did it.

This was scary and exciting, running so hard, at the last minute.

But they got it, loved it, and there was no problem at all.

Lesson: if you’re getting married tomorrow, give us a call — and we can make a Ketubah for you!

(Note: we might not be able to. For example, this couple was in California, but if you’re in Bombay, it might be harder and we might not be able to, etc! But call us and we’ll discuss!).
